Islam Channel and Companeros
Couple of weeks ago I have the opportunity (alhamdulillah) to meet Carl, the no.2 guy in Islam Channel, UK. What suprised me was, he is a non (or not yet) Muslim!
Having hours of discussion with him, I only started to realise that he was indeed not a Muslim after he shared with us the joke about Taleban, rusty knife and khitan...
I do admire this big brown giant (he is 6' 9" I assume). He is so passionate towards global Muslims' issues. The fact that most inhabitant of the world (apart from the heartless Zionists) acknowledge that Muslims in most part of the world are the victims of the neo-Imperialism.
Carl is amongst others who tend to agree with this reality. But, must this situation creates the feeling of enmity in the hearts of Muslims towards the others? Must this feeling of victimhood leads the Muslims to generalise the others as anti-Islam and anti-Muslims? This will never be fair. Muslims must have wise judgement in determining their friends and their foes. Living in the new global reality, it will be unwise for Muslims to create more enemies around them.
Guy like Carl and the million others are not 'the enemies'. More misinformed good hearted peole outside there are indeed 'the friends' and forever willing to accept friendship from the Muslims as their fellow friends, as their compatriots, as their companeros, as their comrades, as their buddies and as their brothers in arms even... I may have only little experince dealing with the non-Arabs, non-Muslims and non-Malaysians whom I percieved as my 'companeros' in the Palestine Solidarity Campaign. But such exposure does make me adamantly believe that the world is so colourful, don't paint it with only two colours...white and black!

Aslmkm ustaz. Perkongsian tulisan ustaz ni, membuat sy terkenang kembali kisah Usamah yg telah membunuh org yg telah melafazkan syahadah, lalu beliau ditegur nabi: "tidakkah engkau belah dadanya" berulang kali. Tulisan ustaz jgk menyebabkn sy teringat kembali kalam "amar ma'ruf nahi mungkar" yg tersembur keluar dr bibir sorg Cina yang merupakan ketua menteri pulau pinang yang baru, yg sedang bertugas skg. Selain dr isu2 yg besar, kita jgk berharap takkan lahir lg Usamah yg baru pd zaman ini, yg tersilap membunuh manusia dgn menggunakan 'neraca syak' (dgn tanpa niat utk merendah2kn kredibiliti usamah sbg sorg sahabat nabi yg mulia dlm hal ini)
